How to Use?
Using the Image Reader to extract text from an image is easy. Follow these simple steps:
- Download the Tech Freedom app from the Google Play Store and log in.
- On the home page, click on the Image Reader option.
- Grant camera permissions if prompted.
- Either take a picture or upload an existing image containing text.
- Once the image is uploaded, the app will process it using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to extract the text, displaying it in a readable format.
Functions You Can Perform
- Audio: Once you’ve processed an image to read its text, you can easily convert the contained text into audio format! Just look for the play button at the bottom of the screen. When you click it, the text from your image will be transformed into audio and will play through MyPlayer. Plus, this audio file will be saved in your device’s internal storage for you to access anytime!
- Share Image: After you’ve processed an image to read its text, you can easily share it too! Just click on the “Share Image” option at the top, and with a quick click, you’ll be able to share the same image with others.
- Copy: If your image contains text, this feature lets you copy that text. Once the image description is processed, you’ll find a ‘More’ option in the top right corner. Click on it, and you can copy the text from the image.
- Export: You can convert the text mentioned in the image into a document. Just click the “More” option button at the top right corner, then select the “Export” option from the list. The document creator interface will open, where the title will already be written in the title edit box. You can change it if you want. The text from the image will already be written in the body edit box. Now, you just need to select the format from the dropdown menu (either PDF or text) and click the “Save” button. Your document will be saved in internal storage.
- Translate: Through this feature, you can change the language of the text contained in your image. Once the image is processed, click on the “More” button, then select the “Translate” option from the list. The text translator interface will open, where the text from your image is already displayed in the edit box. You simply need to select the desired language from the dropdown menu below and then click the “Translate” button.
- Share: Now, you can easily share the text that’s in your image! Once your image is processed, just click on “More Options” and select “Share” from the list. You can quickly share the text contained in the image with anyone you want!
